Bio
William Michael Rafter is an artist living in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he relocated from the east coast in the late 80's to pursue an apprenticeship with two nationally recognized jewlers. He crafts fine jewelry inspired by the forms and textures of the high mountain desert and pendants expressing a deep and penetrating symbolism of inner experience.
The Site
Michael needed a site that would gracefully display his jewelry that he lovingly crafts with his own hands in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico. He needed simple, fast loading image galleries to showcase the work as well as an easy to use online catalog where admirers of his work can purchase his work.
We came up with a solution (which has proven an excellent template for other clients) that integrates a very nice shopping cart system with his PayPal Premier account. This allows him to receive payments from his customers instantly and securely without a merchant account nor monthly fees associated with such. He can use his PayPal debit card (with the Mastercard logo) for purchases and to pay bills or can transfer the funds to his checking account without incurring any additional fees.
