Fourteen Hills
"Fourteen Hills greatest strength is also its greatest challenge: everything is always changing. With an ever-rotating set of editors and staff members, the answer to the question of which story, which poem, which essay might be a great fit for the current issue is in constant flux.
Alec designed a website with a framework that fits our practical needs, a look that honors our history, and a user-experience simple enough so new users can make changes and updates. Our new website is finally able to reflect the magazine’s constant evolution."
NOTE:
I had the good fortune of having my artwork appear on a recent issue of Fourteen Hills, the San Francisco State University Review. Following that, I designed their new website.
About
Since its inception in 1994, Fourteen Hills Literary Magazine has become a vital part of the vibrant literary heritage of the West Coast and the San Francisco Bay Area. Its commitment to presenting a diversity of experimental and progressive work by emerging and cross-genre writers, as well as by award-winning and established authors, has earned it a reputation for literary excellence. Being independent means our aesthetic is dynamic and fluid, ever changing to meet the needs of the culture and the historical moment as we perceive them.
