Digital

Two Detail

For me, working digitally began when there wasn't the space (or quite frankly the cash) to paint. So I turned to my Mac for creative expression in a new way. I began using my two favorite digital tools to render new artwork: Freehand and Photoshop.

The end result was a small series of five pieces entitled, "Sound Asleep". It is available in limited edition, archival prints. Paper size 8"x10".

Today I use GIMP for digital painting and illustration and I can't say enough good things about it. It is an open source image processing program very similar to and (as far as I can tell) as powerful as Photoshop. I encourage other artists and photographers to check it out.

The image to the right is a detail from a series of digital paint I am currently working on. For more information, please contact me.
